Hicks lives in the Chicago area with her family and two dogs. She has been writing for as long as she can remember, and she has always wanted to share her work with those who might find comfort in her words. Hicks hopes that all sorts of people can find themselves in and relate to her characters. She aims to feature characters of diverse races, sexualities, genders, physical fitness, and mental health in her writing. She believes that the world is a diverse, messy, beautiful place, and media should reflect it justly.
Hicks hopes to explore many different genres, themes, and time periods during her career for the sake of growing her craft and keeping things interesting.
